The city of ԭ invites the public to a workshop this Saturday (Nov. 2) to “help plan for the future of downtown.” Two initiatives are up for discussion:
Downtown ԭ Specific Plan, which will serve as a guide for long-term development and infrastructure in the area. The draft plan, which has been developed through a collaborative effort with the community, considers the many elements that can enhance ԭ' quality of life.
ԭ Amtrak Access and Connections Study, intended to identify opportunities to increase ridership, improve multimodal accessibility and enhance station safety.
The workshop will be from 1 to 4 p.m., with a brief presentation set for 1:30 p.m., in the ԭ Community Church Fellowship Hall, 421 D St.
