UC º£½ÇÔ´´ faculty and staff laced up their comfortable shoes and hit the pavement last week for UC Walks, an annual event held on various dates around the UC system. On the º£½ÇÔ´´ campus (May 31) and the Sacramento campus (May 17), participants had the opportunity to try out the university's new walking loops.

The Staff and Faculty Health and Well-Being Program tallied 355 walkers on the º£½ÇÔ´´ campus and 432 on the Sacramento campus. The UC Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources joined most of the UC campuses in observing UC Walks on May 16, and reported a count of 450 participants at ANR facilities around the state.
UC Walks is over for this year, but the UC º£½ÇÔ´´ walking loops are here to stay: Look for the colorful medallions on the ground marking the four 1-mile routes on the º£½ÇÔ´´ campus and a 1-mile loop and a half-mile loop on the Sacramento campus.
